Our mission is to provide immediate aid to communities affected by disasters. Disaster Sources is committed to delivering essential resources—such as disaster kits, homeless kits, winter kits, emergency food, water and long-term recovery solutions to those affective by disasters.

We are here to help before, during and after  a disaster occurs.

Hurricanes destroy homes, which leads to homelessness and food insecurities. 

Our preparation and prevention events focus on disaster readiness. Generator placement, to prevent carbon monoxide casualties. Did you know that carbon monoxide poisoning kills more people during hurricanes than storm surges? We provide information on hurricane mitigation. Supply free hurricane supplies to those that can't afford the basics to weather the storm. The use of candles is one of the leading causes of fires during disasters. Disasters exacerbates the homelessness crisis. Hurricanes , and homelessness, is when crisis collide. Disaster Sources Lena D. Tiger Foundation and its partners served hot meals to the homeless.  Provide hot meals to families, and individuals displaced by disasters. Supply winter kits to help mitigate health issues associated winter cold and flu season.  We distribute food boxes to families facing food shortages. Provide financial assistance, upon availability. We partner with other NGO's and emergency management to give aid and logistics before and after a disaster occurs. We offer students community service hours to help build a sense of civic responsibility. Helping students understand the importance of giving back to their communities. Your donations are hard at work with a track record to prove it.

We've been on the ground assisting people since August 16, 1992 , before and after Hurricane Andrew made landfall on the Florida coast. Formerly (VHV) Victims Helping Victims, 

We received the Jeb Bush Citizens Award. 

Department Of Health Community Award, and The NAACP Service Award. 

We stood committed  then and Disaster Sources Lena D. Tiger  Foundation stands committed now. Agencies such as Disaster Sources depend on the kindness and generosity of businesses, and the community.
