Her spirit of caring and willingness to help others has been passed on to her daughters, granddaughters, and grand sons, The Lena D. Tiger Foundation is a foundation that cares. The foundation is built on the doctrines of Lena D. Tiger's grace and compassion. Lena D. Tiger made a difference in the lives she encountered . She made this world a better place than she found it. The Lena D. Tiger foundation lead by 2 genuine compassionate leaders. The president Aranita Tiger, planted the seed in the soil, and holds the tree that bears the fruits. Aranita Tiger is the epitome of thoughtfulness and caring. It's not a day that goes by Aranita is not asking 'what more can the foundation do to help'? I'm so humbled by her spirit. Her love for others, especially our seniors, vets ,and those disabled is unquestionable. Being around her has made so many of us better people, especially me. The CEO Daniell Sharp I like to call 'Your Mothers Daughter' She's the engine that drives the train. She's passionate, smart, committed, and she gets things done. Everyday Daniell is finding ways to make life better for those that need it the most. It's a honor to work with her. Under the leadership of Aranita and Daniell we've done and are doing so much good in the communities that are hit the hardest.

We have all seen the images of devastation, loss of property, and life that natural disasters leave behind. We have witnessed the necessity of education, and preparedness before, during, and after a disaster strikes.
Disaster Sources Lena D. Tiger is a 501(c)3 organization based in FL.
Our staff understands firsthand, the struggles in the recovery and the rebuilding process.
Our mission "Preparedness and Prevention" before, during and after hurricanes and disasters occur.

Hurricanes destroy homes, which leads to homelessness and food insecurities.
Our preparation and prevention events focus on disaster readiness. Generator placement, to prevent carbon monoxide casualties. Did you know that carbon monoxide poisoning kills more people during hurricanes than storm surges? We provide information on hurricane mitigation. Supply free hurricane supplies to those that can't afford the basics to weather the storm. The use of candles is one of the leading causes of fires during disasters. Disasters exacerbates the homelessness crisis. Hurricanes , homelessness, and the winter season is when crisis collides . Disaster Sources Lena D. Tiger Foundation and its partners served hot meals to homeless individuals and families. Provide winter kits to help mitigate health issues associated winter cold and flu season. Disaster Sources distributes food to families facing food shortages. and provides financial assistance upon availability

We've been on the ground assisting people since August 16, 1992 , before and after Hurricane Andrew made landfall on the Florida coast. Formerly (VHV) Victims Helping Victims,
We received the Jeb Bush Citizens Award. Department Of Health Community Award, and The NAACP Service Award.
We stood committed then and Disaster Sources Lena D. Tiger Foundation stands committed now. Agencies such as Disaster Sources depend on the kindness and generosity of businesses, and the community. Through their generosity we're able to provided education, food, hurricane supplies, winter kits, clothing, and financial support (upon availability) to our seniors, veterans and lower income citizens.
No one agency can effectively serve the needs of all. Experience has proven that it takes a collective effort . Join us. Know that 100% of your donation go to support disaster , homelessness, and hunger relief for those that need assistance.
